Glyph Wins SBA HUBZone Certification

April 22, 2010 by Aaron Schliem

In February 2010, Glyph Language Services was officially awarded HUBZone certification by the US Small Business Administration. The certification recognizes small businesses with primary offices and at least 35% of its employees’ residences located in areas that are “Historically Underutilized Business Zones”. HUBZone certification opens the door to Glyph to provide better strategic value to direct US government customers and to prime vendors who work with government agencies on large, multi-faceted contracts that require minimum levels of HUBZone small business partnering.

The HUBZone certification adds a new contract vehicle to Glyph’s existing General Services Administraction (GSA) contract vehicle. Glyph has been a GSA vendor since 2003, working with US government entities such as the National Parks Service, the Department of Agriculture, the IRS, the Department of Defense Central Command and the National Institutes of Health

“Getting HUBZone certification represents an amazing achievement for Glyph,” indicates Glyph CEO Aaron Schliem. “Not only does it recognize our commitment to the community and to the development of traditionally underdeveloped parts of the country, but it also give us an important competitive advantage when it comes to US government contracts and partnering.”
