Glyph Language Services is an exciting young company providing translation and localization services to clients worldwide. We are looking for a new team member to help identify and connect with the people in target companies who buy localization services. Your role on the sales team will be to create leads and bidding opportunities. Your tools will be your outstanding phone presence and amazing email writing skills. We will teach you about our industry and how the production process works. If you can show you've got what it takes, there is a lot of room for growth and development within our organization.
Responsibilities
- New lead generation–hands down, your top priority
- Web research to prospect and qualify targets
- Proactive calling and emailing to identify key customer contacts and generate bidding opportunities
- Learn about Glyph’s production process and be able to speak knowledgably about what we do
- Assist in day-to-day sales operations
- Stay current on translation and localization requirements for vertical markets
- Participate in creation and delivery of presentations
- Participate in development of proposals and cost estimates
Qualifications
- A genuine desire to work in sales (don’t call if sales would be just a stepping stone toward your real goal)
- BS or BA from 4-year university
- Confidence and eloquence in speaking with VP-level executives
- Outstanding computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly
- Superior web research skill (i.e. Google advanced searching)
- Organizational skills to track work progress and maintain follow-up schedules with prospects
- Excellent writing skills (ability to create a matter-of-fact yet not overly familiar email)
- Keen interest in language, computers, and internet
- Willingness to contribute creative ideas (having the ideas is not enough; you must be willing to speak up)
- Non-English language skills a plus
- Knowledge of software or website development a big plus
