eLearning Localization Workflow Example

Quote Approved

When the project is approved we will run through a kick-off meeting to go over all applicable details of the project and ensure clarity of expectations and timeline. Following that meeting, the client will receive the VO samples for final artist selection. Creation or updates for style guides are initiated at kick-off.

Voice Over

Once the feedback is implemented, it’s sent out to talent for VO creation. Once we receive the VO files, the translation teams will review to ensure accuracy, flow, and the possible need for changes. Following any fixes, the VO files are saved and prepared for import.

File Preparation

Prior to file preparation, we will confirm with the client that the files are the final approved version. After confirmation, we export content, VO captions, and image text for translation from source files. Simultaneously, for video content we extract on-screen text and finalize the SRT files.

Import Translations/ Back-End Engineering

Next, we Import the translations to native files, implement the localized text to images, and add captions, VO, and subtitles to videos. Our support engineers will ensure all content is optimally displayed and the files are packaged for linguistic layout review.

Translation & Editing

For pre-existing clients, their teams are alerted to new content. For new clients, a team of linguists is hand-selected based on client specialization and content type. Glyph translation teams will then translate the VO captions/script, course content, image text, video scripts, and video on-screen text.

Once everything is finalized, we send the courses to our linguists for linguistic quality assurance where all errors/typos/course malfunctions are rectified. As a final step, the PM will also run through final quality assurance steps. If there are any issues found, the process will be repeated.

Market/Client Review

In cases where the client is interested in providing feedback to the finalized translations, we will send out final content for their review and approval. The translations will then arrive in a bilingual RTF format allowing track changes and comments for the reviewer. The feedback will be reviewed and implemented after receipt.

After the eLearning project passes our in-depth quality assessment, we deliver the finalized project in the requested format.

Glyph's Rapport Card

To our valued community,

With the inevitable measures that all businesses need to undertake to support staff and clients, I would like to provide you with an update on our operations. For over 5 years 100% of our staff have been trained and able to work remotely while still maintaining weekly office days for collaboration and team building. We have cultivated business platforms and operations that run digitally without sacrificing security, service quality or capabilities during the better part of the last decade. As of March 9th, all company operations were transferred to work-from-home with no expected change in services, capacity or staff availability.

We understand that many of our partners have experienced challenges due to having a large international presence and multilingual employees. As a result, we are extending our help by monitoring requests after business hours and on weekends for projects associated with the coronavirus. This is to ensure we provide you with the best possible support and the fastest turnaround possible.

If you do have time-sensitive requests associated with the coronavirus, please send them to newrequests@glyphservices.com and include a clear subject line or title so we can act accordingly “COVID-19 Translation”.

We encourage you to reach out if there’s anything we can do to help you and your team during this difficult time. We sincerely hope you, your family, and colleagues remain safe and healthy.

Best wishes,
