Instructions to Our Client Portal
Our Translation Management System has a client portal that offers a secure, reliable and fast way to manage projects. Through the client portal, you can request, approve or reject quotes, upload source materials, retrieve end products, manage invoices, and generate reports.
Getting Started
Most of the time, the first thing our clients want to do in the portal is request a quote. No matter which tab you’re looking at, there will always be two buttons in the top right entitled Request a Quote and Launch a Project. The Request a Quote button will begin the process of collecting the information we need to get you a precise quote for your project. Note that if you hit Launch a Project instead, that tells us that you have pre-approved the project no matter the cost, so you run the risk of committing to a project sight unseen. Instead, we recommend that you always request a quote instead of launching a project unless you have done many projects and have a very precise idea of what it will cost. The quoting process does not take significantly more time.
Tabs: Each of the separate tabs in the portal allows you to examine details of extant quotes, projects, and invoices, as well as generate reports to get an understanding of the scale and efficiency of your specific projects. We encourage you to examine the reports as you complete more projects to get a sense of how various projects compare to one another.
Portal Tour: In the settings menu on the upper right, there is a Customer Portal Tour that will provide you with more details about the various functions in the portal.
Client Portal FAQ
How do I log in? Why can't I log in?
- Usernames and emails are case sensitive. Please use all lowercase letters to log in, unless otherwise advised by your account manager.
- Have you already signed up? It is necessary to go through an initial sign up process, which will require you to reset your password. Please contact your account manager for an invitation email if necessary.
- Click on “forget password” to reset if necessary.
What do all the tabs on the dashboard do?
- Dashboard – general overview of your current work in the Portal
- Quotes – information related to your quotes
- Projects – all your projects in one place
- Invoices – an overview of your payables towards your language service provider
- Reports – a repository of all reports
Can I upload files after a quote being requested?
Unfortunately, our portal doesn’t let you upload files once the quotes/projects are requested. However, we are working on a solution to provide a secured FTP site for file upload after quotes/projects are requested. If you need additional help, please reach out to your account manager for specific instructions.
I can't find the target language(s) that I need for the request
We have a default language list for most of our clients that includes the languages we most commonly work with. However, we support more than 100 languages. If you need a language that isn’t listed here, just send a note to your account manager (or to info@glyphservices.com) and we will make them available for you in the portal.
Can I invite a new contact into the portal?
Absolutely! Click on “add contact” to do so. Then, be sure to provide an email address with all lowercase letters.
How can I provide source files for my request?
When you request a quote or launch a project, you can either upload files you have, or paste unformatted text directly into the request window. This is both more secure and more reliable than an email attachment. There is also no file size limit.
Can I request a different language as source language other than English (US)?
